Porter is getting so big

Well as 2008 comes to an end I think about how much Porter is growing up and how much he has changed. This year we walked, talked, ran, kissed, hugged, hit and now is out of his crib!! What is next? I love having my little buddy around and will miss him one day when he is all grown up.

Mom Turns 55 !!!

For Mom's 55th birthday she had all 6 of her kids in town so we knew we had to have a special night. It started with a dinner at Dulce in Atlantic station and ended with a private room with three bowling lanes for everybody at Ten Pin Alley. We had a great time from loud music and dancing, the boys speed races, Dad's conversation with the manager over the broken lane, Carmel cake and Sue and Ben showing up for the surprise. The pictures do not do the night justice it was so fun.

Merry Christmas 2008

As Porter quickly approaches 2 Christmas was a blast as you can imagine. He was spoiled rotten, but as always appreciated everything he got. Some of his favorites where CARS ( of course), his kitchen, rocket ( little Einstein), more cars and his NEW ROOM. He has been sleeping in his big boys bed the last few days and loves his room, bed and especially tent. It was also GREAT to have family in town though we missed Hunter and Chrissie and Tyler and Sarah as well as the Hamilton gang we had a wonderful family Christmas just the three of us!!

Christmas Brunch with my buddies

We had so much fun visiting with Santa even though Porter got very still and froze when he sat in his lap. There was LOTS of food and friends. Porter sat next to Corrine, Andy and Will and also danced to the piano and player the bells. Andy and Porter took a grand tour and talked all about the lights and "hot" fireplaces.

Pottie Time

Elmo can do it why can't we? Porter loves sitting on the pottie, he talks about it but has not gone. He loves to hold LOTS of things while on the pottie and tell them he is on the pottie. After ten minutes and a red bottom he turns around and sticks his head into the toilet and says "nofin" ( nothing )tha "bye bye all done "

so funny

Christmas Parade

We had a great time at Capital City Sat. watching the Christmas parade!! Gigi and GoGo joined us and we ran into Marianne and Erik and Charlotte. Porter loves the horses, cars and music. The floats and balloons were a close second. This was our second year and a great tradition.

It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas

This week we hung our stockings, put up our tree and placed lights in the front yard. Porter thinks that lights are the greatest thing that ever happened. He just walks in the room in the morning and says buutifulll ( something like that). Gigi and Mimi met us at the mall where we rode the Pink Pig ( a tradition I did as a child). He loved it and waved at the pigs and especially loved the usic ( Music) and tunnel. After that we headed inside the mall as he played with some kids and than to Souper Jenny's where he pretended to cook for Gigi and Mom.

Thanksgiving 2008 Black Mountain, NC

What a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great way to celebrate all we are thankful for- Family, Health, Fun, The outdoors, grandparents, uncles, aunts etc.. We spent 4 days in Black Mountain, NC near Asheville. We had a great house and Porter was happy with all his new toys Yaya and Papa brought with them. We had a great time in Montreat on the playground and feeding the ducks, we visited Camp Crestridge where I went to camp for 11 years and Po found mom's name. We went to the Biltmore House "the big house" which was great and got us in the Christmas spirit and of course we ate ate.
