Christmas Day 2010

What a wonderful Christmas from Mickey Mouse scooter to lots of trains for Jack. It was especially great to see Aunt Laurie and spend a little more time with Mathes. There was lots of celebrating with family as Christmas never ended. Let us not forget that it was the first time since 1845 that it snowed on Christmas Da.

The highlight was the late night snow angels that were made outside the hot tub by Tyler, Hunter, Porter, Parker, Reeves, Alan and even little Porter. We are now in North Carolina with YAYA, PAPA and Jimbo having lots of fun. We have already been to the Duke chapel ( a favorite of Porter's) and been sledding and to the Life and Science kids museum. More planned for the net few days. It will be nice to get back to a routine, but for now we will enjoy the family and try and relax.

Christmas and family

Last year we were at my parents for Christmas and though we were grateful we are THANKFUL to be in our own home this year ( they would agree after all our mess). We are enjoying all the traditions and celebrating Jesus Birth and learning that it is not all about presents ( ok this is a VERY hard concept to grasp for a almost 4 year old). Anyway we had a blast visiting Santa. Porter finally got out what he wanted and Jack was not to thrilled with the big man.

Sophia "Mathes" Henritze

After a long awaiting birth my first niece was born and she is perfect and so sweet. she has cute little checks, eyes like Chrissie and a mouth like Hunter. She is loved by 11 aunts and uncles and two sets of wonderful grandparents. She was 9.3 and and almost 22 inches long. Born Nov 29th at 7:28. We are blessed and Hunter and Chrissie are naturals!!!
They brought her out 6 days later for her debut at the jingle bell brunch.

LOT's to Update let's start with Disney World

Nov 4-8th we headed to Disney World and did it ALL!!! Magic kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. We had a few hiccups including both boys getting sick, but by day two we were all better. Some highlights were seeing the "Real Mickey", splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain, small world, Peter Pan and Play house Disney live. also Jack loved Nemo at animal kingdom as well as the lion king show. We came home with every gadget and were exhausted and broke, but the memories were priceless. It will be a while before we go back but it was great to just have the four of us for a few days.
