American Adventures

Ok well the rain returned today - put we were able to get in a quick trip to American Adventures. Porter rode his first roller coaster ( it was fast) and also loved the train, balloons, wagon ride and trucks. We had a fabulous time.

House Progress and Jacks 4 month appointment

The house is coming along and it has been 6 weeks and the outside is almost done minus the paint. Jack had his 4 month appointment last week and he is 15lbs 9 oz ( 75th %) and 27 inches long ( 95 plus ). He is doing well eating food, sleeping through the night and his brother Porter loves him more and more. Porter's favorite thing is still rocket and cars and music, but he has learned to LOVE coloring, stuffed animals, books, puppets and letters. His favorite story is not a book, but the story of Jonah and the whale.

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY THE GREAT FLOOD

Well you have missed nothing in the ATL. as all it has done for days is rain. They said it is the 100 year flood and rivers and creeks hit record highs. Rivermeade, Hanover West, Farmington and many others water went up the stairs of first floors. People were rescued in boats till 11am last night and the rain continued to pour. Today the sun has surfaced for the first time in a week with storms in Miss. on there way. People lost lots of stuff but we are reminded it is just STUFF.

On a side note Jack has started eating baby food and loves it. Porter LOVES school and is almost potty trained. We also celebrated Tommy's Hair Shop shops 50th anniversary were people brought their cool cars to West Paces Ferry. PO was is hog heaven.

Lastly, Go Go and GiGi built a fabulous swing set to use WHEN IT IS NOT RAINING

House is looking GREAT only one month since they started and we are getting excited !!!

Porter's First Day of School

Today Porter started the two year old program at St. James. His teachers are Ms. Lanier and Ms. Cindy. He was very excited and Dad dropped him off and said he did GREAT!! He is in a class with his friend Andy Madden and they are going to have a great year. I miss you little BUDDY !!

Labor Day 2009 Sea Island

What a great break to get away with the family and head to the beach for a few days. Porter and Jack had a great time together and Alan and I had a break from the Atlanta routine. Jack even learned to rock in a rocking chair SO funny and it made Porter laugh. Ashley and Porter and Hunter and Chrissie were there with us and I will have to say Hunter's hairdo's were a highlight. Also, they gave Alan and I a break and had Porter sleep in their room ( in the rocket/their bed). Lot's of singing Ram Sam and Deep and Wide!!
